Great Colleges 2014 Info

The Chronicle Great Colleges to Work For® program is designed to recognize institutions that have been successful in creating great workplaces. The survey measures the extent to which employees are involved and engaged in the organization and ultimately, the quality of the workplace experience.

The survey measures 15 dimensions reflecting managerial and organizational competencies. Benchmark data is compiled across Carnegie Classification, Region, Enrollment Size and Public/Private status.

President’s Letter

Colleagues,

In the coming weeks, Dixie State University will participate in the Great Colleges to Work For program to offer campus employees the opportunity to identify institutional strengths and challenges and help direct continuous improvement.

The national survey, sponsored by The Chronicle of Higher Education and ModernThink, will be open to DSU employees March 21 through April 11. Great Colleges to Work For provides you the opportunity to voice your opinions on topics such as campus leadership, communication, job satisfaction, support, DSU’s teaching environment, professional development, and compensation. Participation is a great way to make your voice heard, and a high response rate helps ensure a more valid representation of employees’ perceptions.

At the close of the program, we will receive reports that summarize the organizational competencies and relationships that most directly impact and influence our campus. The survey is voluntary and completely confidential; surveys will be processed by ModernThink, and our institution will not be able to trace results back to individuals. An invitation to participate in the survey will be distributed on March 21 via email from Great Colleges.

If you have any questions, please contact Director of Institutional Research Andrea Brown at abrown@dixie.edu or visit www.ChronicleGreatColleges.com.

I hope you will take this opportunity to share your honest feedback. Thank you in advance for your participation.
